Missions & Outreach

Through missions and outreach our church reaches out to the community by caring and serving in various ways.

TV Ministry

Our church began its live TV ministry in 1985. It is now shown in Hickory, the Charlotte area, and all surrounding counties at 11 AM on Sunday mornings on cable channel 7. Our mission began and continues today – to share a live worship experience with shut-ins, home bound, hospital patients and the community.

Men’s Ministry

This men’s group meets weekly and does service projects as needed for the church and the community.

W.O.M. — Women on Missions

A group that provides missions education, praying, ministering and witnessing for preschoolers, children, teenagers and adults. Through missions education and involvement, these women help create an environment where the Holy Spirit can be heard by individuals God is calling out for mission service. Viewmont has adopted an un-reached people group as a focus of reaching the world for Christ.

Mission Trips

A wide variety of ages and groups at Viewmont Baptist regularly participate in state, national and international mission efforts. Past mission trip locations have included: Washington, DC; Gulfport, MS; Charleston, SC; Deland, FL.; Nashville, TN; Boston, MA; and Ontario, Canada.
